Wonder Why
BARN NAME Willy
HEIGHT 17.2 hands
BREED Hanoverian
GENDER Gelding
COLOR Black
AGE 3 years old
PERSONALITY Willy is a good gelding. He likes to work and he wants to please. He is young and even though he has excellent training, he can get a little spooky. But other than that, he has a wonderful temperament. He likes to be groomed and talked to. He is easy to catch from the pasture as long as he knows that whoever is catching him isn't playing with him. He stands for the farrier, he is good for the vet, he loads on trailers well, he has no major vices. He likes to be talked to while being ridden. Vocal commands along with leg and hand aids work the best with this gelding.
HISTORY Willy was born in Salem Wisconsin. He was raised and trained by one of America's best dressage trainers. He was born out of DiNiro and by Welmeyer. Kate purchased him about a year ago when he was two years old. She drove up to Wisconsin and got him. She has been working with him and getting to know him for a year. The two are bonding and learning more about each other every day. Kate hopes to enter him in lower level dressage competitions this year to see how he does. He has excellent bloodlines and she is hoping that he does well.

BARN NAME Apollo
HEIGHT 16.0 hands
BREED Dutch Warmblood
GENDER Gelding
COLOR Dappled Grey
AGE 9 years old
PERSONALITY Apollo is a powerful horse. He is very sensitive and very forward moving. He loves to go fast and faster. He gets excited when he gets to the shows which is proving a challenge for Kate to get him to settle down before they go on. He works hard though and loves what he does. He wants to do what you ask as long as you can get him to concentrate. He is older than Willy but Apollo is not "old pro" yet. At nine years old, he is in the prime of his competition years and has been performing excellently. He is a vocal gelding and likes to "talk" to other horses and people whenever he can. He is very social and likes to meet others. He is good around mares as long as they are good around him. He takes a minute to settle down once you get on him but after that, he is a hard worker and an excellent horse.
HISTORY Apollo is from Canada and was imported by Kate's mother when he was a year old. Kate has known Apollo forever but only started riding him when he was 5 and a half years old when she was about thirteen. Kate loves Apollo and is her "favorite" only because she has had him longer. Kate has been competing with Apollo since she was 14 years old and the two make a great pair. She refers to them as "the team." He has been shown over 4' jumps and didn't have a problem. He has also been shown over 3'6-3'9 and hasn't had problems either. He is very versatile and Kate uses him for trails as well.
