It was a particularly dull day. A light drizzle beat against the roof of her house and the clouds covered the sky. And it was freezing cold out. The blond groaned. This was the kind of day she wanted to curl into bed and do nothing on. But nope. She had work to do and then had made plans to go for a drink with her best friend. This gave her the motivation to get up and get stuff done. After finishing her chores and taking a boiling hot shower the blond climbed in her car and drove out to town. The drive was quiet. She had the radio on low and kept close attention to the road since the rain was getting a bit heavier. After about twenty minutes she was parked in front of Martin's Tavern.
Tally clambered out of the car a bit ungracefully and looked around to make sure nobody saw before she realized she didn't quite care. The rain was a bit more pressing than being stared at by people who had known her for her entire life. She dashed inside the tavern and sat right at the bar, her favorite spot right at the end. There were a few people in the tavern, warm meals in front of them and enjoying good company. It had been a while since Tally had gotten to Martin's, and she regretted it. There was always something happening there. The bartender came up to her and asked what she'd like. "Hmm... just a Budweiser for now. Draft, please." In seconds the mug was in front of her and she was taking a drink. It'd been a while since she'd had a nice cold beer. Tally glanced over the rim of her cup and towards the door. She was a bit early but expected her best friend to follow suit any moment now.

YOU CAN BE MY Taylor entered Martin's Tavern, eager to see Tally. It'd been forever since the two had actually gotten a chance to sit down together and have a drink. Spotting her best-friend at the bar, beer in hand, she smiled; and swiftly approached her. "Tut, tut! The same thing everytime!" She giggled, hoping she hadn't disturbed or startled her friend.
"Sorry I was a little late. Jenny was acting up again. Unfortunately, her parents are refusing to take her back until she's 'cured'," Taylor made airquotes, "of her nauseating behavior." She shook her head, "Sorry again. We haven't had a drink in forever, and I'm sitting here burdening you with my problems! How rude of me!" Taylor knew what she thought was rude was probably normal, best-friend talk.
Tally would definitely understand, the two had been best-friends for their entire childhood. The other girl was probably used to Taylor's outrageous oddness.
Ha, horrible muse! Sorry!....:/ ---------------- CREDIT |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: f9f9f9; border: #d96a70 solid 10px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]remember how we used to party up all night Tally raised her brow, mid sip as her best friend entered the bar and approached her. She'd been lost in her own thoughts and as a result caught a bit off guard. The blond put the mug down and felt a little foam stache on her lip before quickly wiping it off. "Hmm. Late. As usual." she teased while wiping her hand on a napkin and reaching for a pretzel the bar tender placed in front of her. Whoever was there last was late. It didn't matter if they were both early. That was their little joke. She swiveled her chair towards Taylor and propped her head in her hands, crinkling her brow.
"I still don't understand why you've been stuck to be in charge of her. The kid's a monster." Tally said angrily, wrinkling her nose. She felt comfortable enough around Taylor to say what she felt. Besides, she was pretty sure her best friend knew Tally wasn't her nieces biggest fan. They'd gotten off on the wrong foot from day one, and Jenny had made no effort to right things. Money and status seemed to be all she cared about and Tally knew she was a lot for Taylor to handle, but not too much. Her friend knew how to put Jenny in her place, if only for a little while at a time before her niece got back into trouble. Tally rolled her eyes at the thought of it all.
"Don't apologize! You know about all my problems. If I talk about it anymore I think I might just call it quits and move to the Bahamas." Tally took another sip of her beer and reached for another pretzel. It was true. While she wouldn't leave her family, especially now, it was a lot to still take in. Too much. It made her head spin.

YOU CAN BE MY Taylor smiled, her and Tally's joke had guided them through their entire lives. "As always." Though they weren't really 'late', Taylor almost always got there last, either because of her godawful niece or just because Tally was usually way early.
"Me neither," Taylor shook her head lightly, "Jenna said something about being close to the same age, and we could bond and relate better. I personally think Jenny acted up on purpose, because I'm 'high society'." Taylor made air-quotes, as the bartender made his way back. "I'll have an Apple Martini." She shot a short smile at Tally, sensing she was about to get teased for ordering the same thing all the time.
"That's what I mean! You know me, I just don't like making it more stressful for you." Taylor's face filled with sympathy. Tally was going through a hard time with the investigation, and she didn't want her totally stressed because she had to listen to Taylor's problems. "The Bahamas sounds nice." She laughed. "But what would New Hope and your family do without you? I love helping you out Tally, but that management job is just stressful! I could not do that everyday, I can barely manage it during the weekends - with help!".
