Tally brightened a bit at his praise, and it settled him down. It was much better when she was happy. All is right in the world when your woman is happy. Oh shit, I did not just think that! he exclaimed silently. Oh yes, yes I did. He sighed out loud.
The little spitfire inside her roared to life and fire burned in her eyes as he told her his plan. She agreed that she was not going to let him go solo, and that she would be his lookout. This thought both excited and worried him. Unfortunately, she had no more information on their security. Then again, that is also a good thing because it meant she didn't spend much time, if any, in the police station. The thought of her being his partner made him tingle, imagination running away, this time showing a certain blonde in tights. This must be a recurring theme... he thought wryly. Tally expressed her desire for his charms to work 'this time around.' "You mean they're not working now?" he asked innocently, batting eyelashes unfair for a man to possess.
She then expresses her suspicions about his illegal activity. "What do you mean reckless?" he asked. "I'm never reckless. I'm daring. There's a big difference." Her skeptical look made him laugh. He would eventually have to prove that fact to her. There sure was quite a bit of alcohol, though. Its probably a good thing I never did anything worse than that.
Tally informed him that she would be fine and there would be no need for her to stay with him. She surprised him by adding that he shouldn't be surprised if she stayed with him anyway, because it would be nice to get out sometimes. He was truly shell-shocked. She'd just met him, but he must have made one hell of an impression if she'd already agreed to go to his place, whether or not anything happened there. Dean liked this brave side of her.
"It's not considerate. I'm covering my bases. Now you know all you have to do is say 'get out' and I'll leave." he told her. She furrowed her brow again and took another sip of the whiskey. It was already gone, and she poured herself another. She stuttered, trying to explain her penchant for strong liquor. It was like she was affected by his nearness. She confessed that he made her nervous. More than a bit. Then she went on to say that it was a good kind of nervous. This information thrilled him.
"Oh, nervous, are we?" he chuckled. "Honestly, that makes two of us." He twirled the liquid around in his glass, watching her expression and trying to read the emotions that flickered there. Slowly, he closed the space between them. "With that much courage coursing through your veins, you won't mind if I come a little closer, would you?" he asked breathily. His free hand made its way around her waist. As if in slow motion, he closed the gap between their lips, giving her plenty of time to stop or shove away.

"I'm not the one we have to be worried about charming here." she said jokingly, evading the question. Because to be completely honest, they were working. From a guy she'd just met! Good Lord. I'm in for it, aren't I? she thought to herself bitterly. Oh, well. Like the old saying went, you never knew unless you tried.
"Hmm, big difference. I see. I dunno. You just strike me as the kinda guy who was always the trouble maker in school. No offence." she said with a laugh. Tally had known guys like Dean when she was in high school. They were the ones who always got in trouble- whether it be with girls or the school, they had always been up to something. And they were the ones she had made mental note of to avoid. And look at where she was right now. She'd invited one into her home. But to be fair, she didn't really know Dean. This was just a first impression thing. Maybe he would prove her wrong.
"Right. I'll take note of that." Tally teased, but she couldn't really see herself kicking Dean out of the house. Unless someone came in. That would be a different story. And probably a horrifying one. She nearly shuddered at the thought of her father coming in right now. He probably wouldn't get angry, at least she hoped he wouldn't. But he would certainly demand to know what was going on. Tally crossed her fingers behind her back in hopes that something like that wouldn't happen.
The blonde raised a brow. "You're nervous? Why do I doubt that?" Tally asked, tilting her head. Upon his coming closer, she felt like her heart would beat out of her chest. Get a hold of yourself! she snapped at herself internally. But she couldn't. "No. I don't mind." she stated, feeling like she couldn't breath as he put his hand on her waist. She swallowed nervously. Just him standing this close made her head spin. Combined with the alcohol, that wasn't the best thing. Without even thinking, she leaned in and kissed him. Hell, that was what they both wanted anyway, right? What was the point of dancing around it any longer?

"Oh, I'm not so sure about that." He said to Tally. She narrowed her eyes and gave him a suspicious look. The pretty girl evaded his question with ease. Her eyes softened and she again seemed to be waging an internal war. I don't want her to fight herself like that... Dean thought sourly. Either she wants me or she doesn't, no convincing involved. He just didn't have a way to say that and not get himself hit.
"There is a difference. Reckless is ruthless and dangerous, without regard for the safety of yourself or others. Daring is just adventurous, and maybe a little dangerous but that was only for the adrenaline rush. I thought about the things I did before I did them. That's not reckless abandon." He said with feeling. "Although I was a bit of a trouble maker in school, so no offense taken. I've always liked the ladies." He said with a wide grin. He did sort of have a reputation for getting around, but he never forced himself on anyone, or even tried to seduce them. They came to him.
She still thought he was joking about the 'get out' comment. Dean was far from joking. If she didn't tell him to stop or get out he never would. He'd keep going and there wouldn't be any turning back. He didn't want that if she wasn't absolutely positive it's what she wanted too. Then Daddy crossed his mind. Daddy with a gun. He really wanted her to be sure she wanted him. Because if Daddy found out, his princess would be the only one who might be able to save his hide.
Tally gave him a skeptic look when he told her he was nervous. "I'm not sure, but thinkin' bout your daddy walkin' in here with a gun makes me pretty damn nervous." He admitted, swallowing the confession with his next gulp of whiskey. It burned all the way down his throat. When she practically invited him closer, he welcomed it.
As their lips finally touched, Dean became aware of an explosion of sensation. Her lips were smooth and warm, her skin soft as silk. She tasted good, like vanilla and cinnamon. He blindly set his tumbler down without breaking the kiss, then moved his hand to cradle her head. His fingers caught in her hair and it was glorious.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: f9f9f9; border: #d96a70 solid 10px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]and you can't hold me down "Well, you've got me convinced. That's good to know, though. Because as you just said, there is quite a difference." Tally said, impressed. "I've always liked the ladies." The blonde chuckled. "Now that is something that I don't doubt at all. And I'm sure they just loved you." she stated, hoping not to come off as being sarcastic. To be completely honest, no girl that Tally knew in her right mind would have turned Dean down. So she was sure he had no problems when it came to getting a girl.
"Ah, I see. Well, here's to hoping that doesn't happen." Tally said, weakly holding up her glass in a fake cheer before taking another drink. Her eyes widened at the thought. Her father had never been one to be very rash, so hopefully under the circumstances he wouldn't be right now. She certainly hoped he'd be able to maintain his cool and not come storming in with a shotgun. Wouldn't that be a sight to behold? Tally hoped that if that were to ever happen, she'd be able to make her dad see straight. After all, Dean was clearly in here only because she wanted him to be.
Tally sat her glass down and moved closer to Dean, as if she wasn't already close enough. The blonde felt any tension that had been in her body leave when their lips met. Really, she didn't know why she'd been so wound up earlier. This was easy. His lips were warm and tasted like whiskey, much to her delight. He wrapped his hands in her hair and she felt like she was walking on air, prompting her to place her hands on his chest. Tally couldn't remember the last time she kissed someone like this, but it was amazing.
She was so into the kiss that she almost didn't hear the side door open. Almost. Her eyes flew open and she jumped a step back, incredibly irritated but at the same time terrified. She stepped around the bar and peered around the wall to get a look at whoever it was. If it was her father she didn't know what the hell she would do. Upon seeing that it was just one of the stable hands, she narrowed her eyes and was about to snap at him before she took a breath and opened her mouth to speak calmly. "Is there something wrong?" Tally asked, measuring her words carefully. "Uh, n-no. Just checking in to see if your father was here. He asked to meet with me." came the timid reply. She must have looked pretty angry. "Oh, well, he's not back yet. Still in town. I'll let you know when he gets here." she forced a smile that probably made her look like she wanted to kill and he promptly turned back out the door, Tally locking it behind him.
Tally frowned and sighed, running her hands through her hair. She made her way back over to Dean, suddenly feeling awkward. "Should probably put in a doorbell." she joked but felt prompted to apologize. "Sorry about that. But at least it wasn't my Dad, right?" Tally said lightheartedly, but inside she was annoyed. Really annoyed. She had really been enjoying herself, but maybe now the moment was lost. The blonde furrowed her brow and drank some more, feeling the after effects of the alcohol and the kiss coming over her. What she really wanted was to kiss Dean like that again, but she was afraid that if she did things would get carried away. Usually she had good self control, but she really didn't want to give him the impression that she was easy. Because she definitely wasn't by any standards. Instead, Tally settled on a quick kiss on the lips before breaking away again and sitting back down on the couch, patting the seat next to her and inviting him over. "Great. Just like that, I'm jumpy again. But if it counts for anything, that was the best kiss I've had in a really long time." Tally stated with a grin, realizing that the alcohol was getting to her and making her a bit more open. Luckily she wasn't slurring her words. Yet. Tally looked back up at Dean and hoped he would sit back down next to her.

"I can be pretty persuasive," Dean said mischievously. He truly did believe there was a difference between reckless and daring, whether or not anyone else agreed with him. They could take it or leave it. She also didn't seem too thrilled at his experience with ladies. Maybe that's not a good thing anymore? He didn't know, or care much at all.
"I'll drink to that." Dean replied heartily. Any time he could get close to Tally without her father interrupting them would be considered a success. Her eyes seemed to widen dramatically and he half turned, looking for an imaginary invader, or her father with said gun. Hopefully, if that ever happened she'd be able to talk some sense into her daddy before Dean was riddled with buckshot. He likes all his limbs where they are, and he'd prefer they stay that way. In one piece.
Tally also set her glass down as she moved in closer, and he couldn't resist thinking that she wasn't close enough. When their lips touched, he lost most of his control. She tasted so sweet it was ridiculous. His hand cradled her head until he tangled his fingers in her hair, his other hand on her lower back, pressing her closer to him until there was only a layer of fabric between them. He was floating and sinking at the same time, and he didn't know which way was up and which was down. She placed her hands on his chest and he lowered his arm to circle her waist, practically crushing her to him. He had no clue the last time he felt this way, and he didn't care. All that mattered at the moment was the girl in his arms.
All of a sudden her eyes flew open and she jumped backwards, away from him. Dean's whole body mourned the loss of contact. She looked startled as she walked around the bar. He assumed there was another door. Worry invaded him. Who is it? he thought. Apparently no one important, because Tally now had a murderous look on her face. Turns out it was just a stable hand looking to talk to Mr. Montgomery. She rushed the man out the door and locked it as soon as it was shut.
The pretty blonde sighed and ran her hands through her mussed hair. Ha. I did that. Dean thought proudly. She returned to his side and attempted to joke about a doorbell, but it fell flat. She seemed jumpy now, and not at all like her confident self. "Yeah, that is one good thing. Maybe next time we'll remember to check all the doors and not just the front lock," he said slyly. He purposefully said next time, because unless she kicked him out he fully intended to have a next time.
Tally's face showed tension, and he wondered what was going through her mind. There was no way to tell, and she didn't offer any details right away. Maybe she's regretting it? Dean wondered sadly. He resolved to change her mind, even if kissing was all she wanted to do tonight. Hell, if they were all kisses like that he'd be pretty damn satisfied.
Surprising him, she quickly kissed him before sitting back on the couch, inviting him to sit next to her. She complimented his kissing ability after chastising herself for being jumpy. "Well, if you'll let me, I'd do it again. I enjoyed it quite a bit myself." Dean admitted. He had nothing in his hands, so he turned to 'drawing' designs on the couch, tracing swirls and lines. Finally he settled again.

We almost always leave that one unlocked during the daytime if someone's here. I just forgot to check. We'll definitely have to make sure everything's locked next time around." Tally teased, running her eyes around the room and looking at the windows. She knew the front door was locked, and now the side door was definitely locked. But now she also knew that her father was supposed to be coming back sometime soon if he had arranged to meet with the stable hand. "But I assume you heard what he said about meeting with my father. Which means he'll be back soon." Tally groaned. Usually she loved it when her dad came home because that meant she got to spend time with him and talk about how their day went like they did every evening. But now she had Dean over. And she didn't really want him to leave. She quickly spoke again. "But don't worry. He won't get upset or anything if we're just chillin' on the couch. Besides, he won't have the time or reason to get after me when he needs to meet with him." The blonde gestured in the direction of the barn through the window, referring to the stable hand who had interrupted their incredibly perfect moment. She scowled at the thought.
"So unfortunately the kissing will have to wait. For a bit." Tally frowned and cracked her knuckles, still a bit shook up. Goodness, if that had been her Dad he probably would have had a fit, just like any other man would watching his daughter make out with a complete stranger. So it was a good thing that the stable hand had come in and hopefully not seen a thing. Not that he would rat her out to her father anyway, because if he had half a brain he knew full well Tally would knock him flat out. She offered Dean a small smile. "But I enjoyed myself too, despite being so rudely interrupted." she joked.
Tally let her eyes wander back to Dean, who was now sitting next to her on the couch. She reached for her drink on the table and took another swig of it. Now this one was almost gone, too. Should've brought the whole damn bottle over here. she thought to herself. But maybe it was for the best. This was her third decent sized glass after all. The blonde watched Dean trace the designs on the sofa, something she often did when she was bored. Oh, God. Was he bored now? Tally swallowed and leaned back in the sofa, feeling out of it. Her eyes remained focused on his hands and she thought back to just a few minutes ago when they were kissing, and wanted his hands back on her. Calm down. At least wait until Dad gets home and heads off to meet with the stable hand. she thought to herself irritably.
Feeling the need to converse, as she always did when she was a bit tipsy, Tally spoke again. "Want anything else to drink?" she asked, gesturing to the bar. Then, she spoke again. "You know, there's something that's been bothering me. When you told me about yourself at the diner, you didn't say where you were born, if I remember correctly. Care to elaborate?" Tally asked, curious. She hoped she wasn't overstepping her boundaries. But if she and Dean were going to be spending all this time together, she wanted to know him as well as he would allow her to.

"Well, accidents happen. And at least it was just the stable help. I'm not too fond of the idea of dear old dad, but even he is better than some options." Dean said, getting a thrill when she said 'next time.' Oh, that's good. And now he knew that both doors are locked for sure. "Yes, that is quite unfortunate." He wished things could be different, but for now he would take what he could get.
She cracked her knuckles before becoming lost in thought. At least you're not dog food. That's what you would be right now if that had been her father, he chastised himself. He reclined on the couch, resuming his comfortable position. This time his arm rested along the back of the couch. Tally almost finished her drink, and that led him to wonder if she was tipsy. If so, he should leave. He continued tracing swirls on the sofa, trailing his fingers over his legs and up to hers, waiting for permission.
"Nope, I've had enough to drink tonight, but thanks." he told her when she asked about refreshments. "Well, there really isn't much to say." Dean sighed, but more out of disinterest than disgust or offense. "I was born in Dallas. That's where we were until I was about five. Mom died and Dad just got drunk. Sammy and I went to live with our Aunt here in Tennessee, about an hour away. That's how it went." he paused, wondering if he should continue, or if it had satisfied her curiosity. Right now he was feeling pretty brave, and it was most likely he would answer anything she asked him.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: f9f9f9; border: #d96a70 solid 10px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]and you can't hold me down "True, very true." Tally said with a nod. "You know, he's really not as bad as I may have made him out to be. I'm sure at one point you'll run into him. You might even get along, I dunno." she spoke, thinking. Her father was generally pretty fond of the guys she hung out with in the past. Except for a few, and he had every right to not like them because, well, looking back they'd been pretty douchey. Her father had always had her best interests at heart, and she did appreciate it. But she could never tell who exactly among her group of friends he'd actually like. Who knew, maybe he would like Dean. That would make things pretty easy, considering Tally would have to be spending a lot of time with him. "Oh, I think I should add that I don't wanna tell him about what we're doing... like I said, he doesn't want me involved. The less he knows the better." she stated. If her father knew what they were up to he would put a stop to it, at the very least Tally's involvement.
The blonde set her drink on a coaster and stared at it for a second. Yup. You've had enough. Tally thought to herself, leaning back against the sofa. At least she knew when enough was enough. Tally was never one to get wasted- she had self control, to her relief. Noticing that Dean was moving his hand closer to her leg, she scooted closer to him so that their legs were barely touching. "You know, I don't mind you touching me, really. At all." the blonde smiled. Did I just say that out loud? Oops.
"Cool. I think I should probably back off the drinks too." She said with a little chuckle. "Hmmm...Dallas. Never been." Tally mused ruefully. She'd never been further West that the Tennessee border, unfortunately. Her family had never really been much of the travelling type. Couldn't really be with their business, though. She listened to Dean talk some more, nodding. Really, she thought his story was sad. "That must have been rough, having had all that happen." Tally murmured before widening her eyes shutting her mouth. "I'm sorry. Here I am running my mouth and asking questions. You probably don't even wanna talk about it." she stammered. She knew she wouldn't, if she were in his place.
