So far her handling has been complicated to say the least, she's a fighter. First time her breeder attempted to take her out without her dam she pulled, tugged, fussed and refused to move without force. She's stubborn to say the least, proud and holds herself with more pride than you'd imagine of less than a yearling. HISTORYShe was born onto an Irish Holsteiner breeding stud, Albie Chaple, her dam had been an up and coming eventer until an accident shattered her femur. With her bloodlines the stud was unwilling to put her down and, whilst she'd never jump or even compete again she did became a highly successful brood mare. Sandy was born on a cold November morning. She took after her mother in temprement, a feisty, stubborn headed creature, head-shy at first but slowly coming to trust. She's still just a filly, with more energy than experience and more attitude than reflection. Eamon still isn't sure what he saw in this one, she seems too stubborn to go all the way, too sure that she can do her own thing rather than trying whatever's presented to her. But, she has that potential, she can do it, her free jumping in the paddocks is phenomenal, but here's to convincing her to do it for not just her own good. DISCIPLINEPotential eventer [/style] |

Blackwater Phoenix, We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more SHOW NAME BLACKWATER PHOENIX
BARN NAME PHOENIX, BENNY
HEIGHT 17HH
BREED HANOVARIAN
GENDER STALLION
COLOR CHESTNUT
AGE DECEMBER 2006 (six year old)
PERSONALITY One of the most passive horses you'll find. When Eamon first bought him he'd never been in a stable, never been in a trailer and yet he barely batted an eyelid at either. He'll walk straight passed a tractor, stay in a field next to a train, and very little phased him. He'd hack out with flighty thoroughbreds twice his age and just walk passed the hedge all the thoroughbreds were spooking at. He'd a gentleman, never barges, never shoves or tries to use you as a scratching post. He has impeccable manners and is a sweetheart when it comes to being petted and groomed. When being ridden, if anything, he can be a little nappy, a little lazy, but he's willing and sweet. Just what you'd want in an up and coming eventer.
HISTORY Eamon bought Phoenix from a stud farm in the lowlands of Scotland. It wasn't a big farm, nothing prestigious, but he knew the owner and the beautiful, willing little chestnut foal that was Phoenix struck his eye. He took him back to Ireland, started training him with continuous surprise at just what a sweetheart this stallion was. He surpassed all his expectations of a horse without a huge amount of breeding but a huge amount of heart. He's been training him for almost five years now and brought him over the pond with him when he moved
DISCIPLINE Eventer (Coming up to CIC*)

Seeküste, We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and i I took all that I desired even crooks have to pay the rent We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more SHOW NAME SEEKüSTE
BARN NAME SEAL
HEIGHT 16 HANDS EXACTLY
BREED HOLSTEINER
GENDER MARE
COLOR CHESTNUT
AGE OCTOBER 2004
PERSONALITY On the ground, Seeküste is a darling. She's willing and friendly and calm. She was never head-shy, never one to pull or jog although she has always been a little spooky. She loves attention in every form and has been known to stand with her chin resting on someone's shoulder for a good hour whilst she snoozes in her stall. She's also a very trusting mare, Eamon has often come in to have her lying down comfortably in her stall with no need to stand up when he walks in. She just trusts you. One thing she will bite on is having her mane pulled. Then the ears are back and the snorts come out. In the saddle she is far less trusting. She's a mare that needs a connection to her rider and that takes time to build. She's nervous and spooky and opinionated. She's very sensitive in the mouth and needs very direct, confident instructions when it comes to show jumping and has been known to run out if she is unsure as to the rider's intentions. She is willing and she can take the right rider up at least CIC**** level without trouble, but she needs the correct rider with the correct patients.
HISTORY The O'Kieff family bred this mare from scratch on their farm in Kilkenny. Eamon's own competition mare, Eskdale Kiesstrand, retired into becoming a broodmare when she was sixteen and her first foal was Seal. She was a beautiful foal, adventurous and playful and Eamon doted on her, probably more than he should've done. She was the first filly his father and he worked on together. She won her first in-hand show at the age of two, coming head and shoulders above the rest of the field with a blue rosette pinned to her halter. Eamon loaned her to an Irish eventing farm, somewhere far more prestigious than himself and his father, for a year to train and she came back a superstar. Well...she'd always been a superstar. She was jumping her heart out in every competition and by the age of six had completed her first CIC* level competition and placed third. Eamon, in his own way, is a good rider, but this horse was something special. At the age of eight, four months before her move to the US, Eamon entered her in a CIC** three day event, which she cleared without a second glance at the heights. Now Eamon knows, however sad it is, that she needs someone who has the time to bring her on, bring her on to the highest level she can achieve, and he can't do that. But, she will always be his pride and joy.
