SHOW NAMEDime a Dozen
BARN NAME Penny
HEIGHT 16hh
BREED AQHA
GENDER Mare
COLOR Palomino
AGE 8
PERSONALITY A gentle giant is the best way to describe her. Penny is always very curious about whats happening around her although rarely does she ever spook at anything, shes more curious as to whats happening rather than to run away. At shows she gets more energetic, the crowd is always very interesting to her. She loves any attention but having baths are her favorite things ever.
HISTORY Mara bought Penny in Texas as a 2 year old while she was on the road with her father before Mara moved around on her own. The mare is western broke, they tried cutting, reining, barrell racing but despite having lengthy legs the mare's heart just wasn't into any of the sports so Mara's last resort was western pleasure. A perfect match for the gentle giant. Her show career started at 4 years, winning a few local shows before going to sanctioned events. Penny has won countless ribbons and trophies. Mara hopes to someday get to worlds with this mare or at least win a few of the AQHA show's that shes placed high in the qualifier's.

SHOW NAME Code Red
BARN NAME Ruby
HEIGHT 14.3hh
BREED AQHA
GENDER Mare
COLOR Red Roan
AGE 5
PERSONALITY Shes a very interested in everything. Curious in everything but when she's on the trails or in a new place she requires an experianced rider to assure her that everything will be ok. Since she is still young she can be very timid. With one glance at her one would think she looks more like a halter horse/western pleasure due to her conformation and nice gates but this gal has a heart for speed. Reining is her match.
HISTORY Ruby was born at a ranch in Tennessee. The filly's broodmare was a halter horse while her sire was a reiner, giving this horse excellent conformation and the heart to want to work. Ruby hadn't come out as thick boned nor as tall as her breeders wanted so soon after 3 Mara purchased her along her travels. Ruby got along with her other horse Penny very well so it was nice for each of them to be traveling buddies. Mara had broke her in and started reining with the little mare. Within the last year the mare has started showing. Already she has started her reputation for being the "little guy" to beat. At only 14.3 hh she has a winning streak of 12 shows in which she has won against horses much taller and more trained than she.
